EVERY KID'S DREAM (AND EVEN KID-AT-HEART!)
Since I was a kid, I've always dreamt of every Walt Disney character to be one of my playmates. In fact, when I first applied for my US Visa (alone) in 1996, I've been so honest with the Consul that I really wanted to go to Disneyland- a dream that was remained a fantasy then because of the 9-11 tragedy. (Who would go to America, when everyone will be a terror suspect).
Until finally, the HK Disneyland was opened. We are one of those eager to see first the much-publicized theme park in HK.
Every bit of second was counted when we scheduled our 1st trip in HK Disneyland. Everything that symbolizes the trademark was a victim of our camera shutters. No one is frowning, there's a dad singly pushing a trolley of his kid, a mom gently rubbing a baby powder on his baby, a granny on her 80's! (I think), and lots and lots of kids like me! lol!
As you got out of the train, a magical sounds will immediately whisper in your ears- a sound that suddenly will transform your mature hearts into playful spirit. It feels like you wanna be free and be a kid again!
Walking through the aisle, silhouettes of familiar characters await you. Dancing in the rhythm of well-love Disney songs, accompanied by a sweet splash of fountains every scream of the people around you says that you are in the Fantasy land.
After your much-awaited moment (after queuing, checking out your bags, tickets, etc), a cake-like garden is just there to kiss you. A visitors' favored area for your first photograph within the theme park proper.
A group of band (mostly a familiar nationality- Pinoy), will mark the official opening hour of the park. One by one, Mickey, Donald, Daisy and others are coming out to pose with you in your photos!
Who can forget a moment like this? Good thing is, most of the performers are Pinoys! They love posing with co-pinoys. They will hug you, tap your shoulder, make you smile and play some tricks to make you feel comfortable with them.
